As this specimen of the language spoken in Ireland about 1200 years ago, is here published, not only for the elucidation of our apostle's history, but also for the gratification of the lovers of Irish literature in general; the Irish original is accompanied, on the opposite page, with an English translation of the whole. In this translation, the literal meaning, and idiomatic expression of the words and phrases, are adhered to in all such stanzas as the editor (with the aid of some members of the Gaelic Society, particularly conversant with subjects of this sort) could fully understand: for he acknowledges that neither he nor these gentlemen are so vain or disingenuous as to pretend that they comprehend the whole of this very ancient composition.
This is a collection of short narratives, poems, and other written pieces that tell the story of my intense battle with drug and alcohol addiction and how I made it back to sanity and sobriety. Much of this work came from things I wrote about along the way, as I experienced them. The rest I filled in for the purpose of this publication. Everything is true and accurate to best of my recollection. It is intended to inform both the addict and non addict alike, but most importantly to inspire the active addict to seek and hold onto a life of sobriety. Some of the pieces in this collection have already served in this capacity which is one reason I decided to publish this collection. I hope this book will find its way into some rehab centers, where I think it will do the most good. It would also be helpful for families of addicts to get an inside look at what an addict goes through and that there is always hope for recovery. For the general public, this book will also serve to educate and inform about the horrors of addiction and the hope of recovery, and should provide some interesting reading as well. Addiction is such a huge part of our society and this is one man's true story told through literature.

When Mattie and Bo cross paths, all signs point to disaster. Yet as they face a crucible of trials and tragedies together, longings begin to stir that seem destined only to end in more heartbreak. Is a miracle possible-not only of healing but of forbidden love? What secrets lie in Bo's dreams? And will Mattie find the courage to face her uncertain future . . . or will she simply run away?
